Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any riding experience before training?
It is important that you complete your two-day Pre-Learner training and that you have attended Service NSW or Access Canberra prior to your lesson. You must be licensed to ride on a public road.
What do I need to bring to my lesson?
It’s preferable that you have armoured clothing and Kevlar pants, but this is not essential. As long as all your skin is covered.
Long Pants
Long sleeves
Enclosed shoes/boots over the ankle
Valid licence
Helmet & gloves
Highly recommended that you purchase wet weather gear
Can I use my own motorcycle for training?
Absolutely. You should have already purchased your own bike, as long as it’s roadworthy and legally registered. We do not offer rental bikes.
How long are the lessons?
All sessions run for 2 hours.
What types of training do you offer?
Beginner lessons
Returning rider refreshers

Where do lessons take place?
Training is held near your home. I come to you and research the best area to train.
How do I book a lesson?
Bookings can be made by email or by phone. I will send you an invoice. Payment is required to secure your session. Please remember there are some times when a travel charge will be applied.
What happens if it rains?
Training continues in light rain. If weather becomes unsafe, we will reschedule your session at no cost.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes — gift certificates are available for all lesson types and can be personalised. A perfect gift for new riders or anyone wanting confidence on the road!
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Please contact us as early as possible if you need to change your appointment.
I’m nervous - can you help?
Absolutely. Most beginners or people who have not ridden for a while feel nervous! Our training style is patient, supportive, and paced to your comfort. You’ll never be pushed beyond what you’re ready for.
